Sometimes the best things happen! I found this great shop, online, called Owl Necklaces and I met this really nice person, named Deb Zeitlin. We started to correspond and now we are helping each other and promoting each others art! She is going to show (and sell) some of my pieces on her website and I am going to take some of her things to my shows! I think this will work out just peachy for us both and I am so excited to be able to carry her adorable owl necklaces . Please visit her at http://www.owlnecklaces.com

I was at the Halloween Party at “The Club” (that’s a local fitness center, but it’s just called, The Club) and they had two girls there from Sparky the Clown and friends, Katie and Amanda, they were really nice girls. Amanda is a professional face painter and Katie is a balloon- animal-maker. Well, Katie made this rainbow for the table decoration and I just had to have one! Before I left she made one for me and I told her I would post a pic on my blog. And here it is. It is still hanging in my studio and it just makes me smile. It’s the coolest balloon sculpture ever!

Here is a “sketch” I did for the beginning (idea) of a new collection of paintings I am about to start. This is just done on a small 3×5 piece of w/c paper. I just wanted to do some samples to get an idea of colors, and how well the paint works on this particular paper. I actually posted this the other day and then accidentally deleted it! oops!

Kristen’s note* I love her wok and I love this piece! Look at Danita’s shop a.s.a.p!
This is a 7″x 8″ high quality print of my original collage, “LOVE YOURSELF”. It is printed on high quality Epson 8.5″ x 11″ matte paper and it’s signed and titled in the front by me, Folk Artist and Illustrator Danita.
Ready for matting and mounting or to be enjoyed on it’s own, this print will add a very nice touch anywhere you choose to display it. It goes great with any decoration!

kristen’s note*finding all of these rainbow images has been great. I always say, “rainbow is my favorite color” and it is…
Take the kids outside on a misty morning, when the grass is wet and the sun is just peeking through the clouds. You might be lucky enough to see a rainbow arching high through the sky. They say there’s a pot of gold where the rainbow touches the ground, but no one has ever found this treasure.

kristen’s note * need I say that I would love to own some of these fabulous side-stacking chairs? They will go perfectly on my deck, at the condo on the beach….
Rainbows after a drizzle are lovely to look at. So it is with Christian Flindt’s “Parts of a Rainbow” chairs for they are sure to brighten up living spaces with their multitude of hues. His chairs are unusual for they stack sideways unlike most chairs which are added from the top. It is perhaps the first side-stacking chair in the world. The innovative design means you can stack several sideways to form a colourful bench. In fact, by stacking them in a group, the full rainbow effect is achieved which is why Flindt called it “Parts of a Rainbow!” This prototype design won Flindt the 2005 Design Award at the Copenhagen Furniture
